Biography: About: Stephen Pollard is a writer and journalist author of a biography of David Blunkett and co-author (with Andrew Adonis) of A Class Act: the Myth of Britain’s Classless Society (Penguin). He has written for The Times and Daily Mail and now writes a column for the Daily Express. He was once described by the The Sunday Times as a New Labour "guru", but by the New Statesman as a leading "British neo-conservative". He is a former Chairman of the European Institute for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism and a former president of the Centre for the New Europe, a free-market think tank based in Brussels Education: John Lyon School; Mansfield College, Oxford Career: Fabian Society: Research Director (specialising in health and education policy), 1992/1995; Social Market Foundation: Head of Research, 1995-98; Daily Express: Columnist and Chief Leader Writer, 1998/2001; currently blogs at The Spectator and is a guest contributor at The Times Current position/role: Editor of The Jewish Chronicle, regular Daily Express columnist also writes/written for: written columns for several publications, including The Times and the Daily Mail, and also maintains a blog.
